Dizzied Disorientation

Dissension often breeds decisions.
The mind often works in mutiny.
Thoughts don't always like their captain.
Even in this brutal mentality
The plank is not an option.
So sailing the seas
On the good ship
Loco Mente
We battle on valiantly.
Careful not to disrupt the balance
To an unrecoverable slant.
Yet pride interferes
With every attempt to calm the masses.
So what is their quarrel?
The captain stews as he stands
Hands continually slipping off the helm.
They scream for peace.
They scream for attention.
They scream for order.
And their screams create chaos.
But if the decision was truly his
There would be no crew.
So the vicious circle rotates on
Dizzied disorientation becomes the norm.
