Confusion Dominates

If every expression has a meaning

And every meaning can be interpreted.

Then the answer to my question

Is so far off.

There are so many faces

That I see in a day.

Each saying so many things

In so many glances.

It’s confusing.

Like reading a thousand books at the same time.

You make ask,

Why do I pay so much attention?

Why do I care?

And I say,

That’s a good question.

Maybe it’s an odd quest for knowledge.

Maybe my focus in life is misdirected.

Either way confusion dominates.

And that’s tough for me to handle.
